How much are the tickets?
£36.50.
Does the ticket include drink?
No - to keep the ticket price down and to be fair on those who prefer not to drink, we have not included any drinks in the ticket price.
The ticket price DOES include a three course meal, coffee, table service, venue hire and the seat you sit on! Somerville Formal In London does not operate at a profit. As such, the price is exactly the cost for food, venue, staffing and other overheads. We've worked extremely hard to keep the price as low as possible and we're sure you'll agree it represents excellent value for money.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.somervilleformal.com/Tickets/. Please note: our payment pages use Google Checkout. Unfortunately, Google no longer accept Maestro credit/debit cards. Please use a NON-Maestro card if at all possible. Alternatively, please contact us and we will make some other arrangements for you to buy your ticket.
When is the deadline for buying tickets?
It was Midnight on Wednesday 14th October. Sorry - the deadline has now passed and bookings are closed.
What if i missed the deadline?
If you missed the deadline, we can put you on our waiting list in case of any cancellations. If you would like to be added to the waiting list please simply send us an email at admin@somervilleformal.com or send us a note online.
How much are drinks?
Reasonably priced drinks including a great selection of wines, draft and bottled beers are available throughout the evening from the bar or by ordering from your seat during the meal.
Is it Bring Your Own Bottle?
No. While we do everything we can to recreate Somerville Formal Hall to the fullest extent possible, all alcohol must be purchased at the venue.
Can I bring non-Somervillians to the event?
Yes. The event is aimed at Somerville graduates but partners and/or close friends are also welcome.

What time does it start?
7:30 for 8:15PM.
What time does it finish?
Approximately 2AM.
Is this a profit-making venture?
No. Somerville Formal in London is a purely altruistic venture intended to help Somervillians stay in touch with each other and have a good night out.
Is there a dancefloor?
Yes - Loose Cannon have kindly provided the central hall for use as a dancefloor after dinner. The central hall is joined to the main hall via an archway. The main hall and tables will remain in place after dinner so it's quite easy to stay and chat the night away if you'd prefer not to dance!
Who is running this event?
Somerville Formal in London is organised by a group of recent Somerville graduates from matriculation years 1999 through to 2003. We are also helped by a number of other recent graduates from matriculation years 1994 through to 2007. We will be posting more details about the Somerville Formal in London team on this website within the next few months.
